AMRAVN is a 100% independent non-profit review website for visual novels and adult games. We always aim to give you honest, thorough reviews of games worth mentioning. The world of AVN's is vast and chaotic. Through this site, we help you find new games to fall in love with.

Meet Liberty, our lovely AMRAVN mascot.

Independent & human

Hello developer!
Before we go any further - are you an AVN developer? Are you working on a game or just released one? If you're an indie developer, please shoot a message and we'd love to take a look at your work. Our owner frequently sits down with new and seasoned developers in order to look at game concepts and story writing. And we'd love to hear what you have been working on! ^_^

Independent & Non-Profit
"How do we make money?", many people ask. Aside from a few personal donations to AMRFTY for doing this work, we don't make money. There are no advertisements or commercials on this site. The review material is free from influence and can't be bought. We are independent from developers and do not operate on generating profit. We might open a donation link in the future, if costs for the website rise. Everything else is ran from donations by AMRFTY.

Real human reviews
Our opinions are our own. We don't run ad campaigns or banners on the website, nor do we engage in positive review marketing for games. If a developer offers us the game for review, we will let you know in the review. That kind of clarity and transparency is what you can expect from us. Humans work on these games. So only a human could properly interpret and review them.

Ratings & post frequency

How do your ratings work?
That's a great and important question. So important even, that we have dedicated a full page explaining how ratings on AMRAVN work. If you want, you can also use the menu above or the buttons on the page mentioned earlier to filter for games by rating.

Weekly posts
Our posting promise is at least 52 posts per year, resulting in one post per week. Ideally, 50% of these posts should be reviews. That's our bottom bar, but so far we've been able to push for a lot more.

About our history

We started out as AINAVN, a trio focused on reviewing Adult visual novel experiences. AINAVN actually meant 'The A+ in AVN', signaling we were only looking for the best experiences that the genre had to offer. Gamer & reviewer KyusuKusanagi owned the website and asked both Dark444X and AMRFTY to publish reviews together. We did for a period of time, but health issues eventually halted our project ambitions. After a brief hiatus, KyusuKusanagi wanted to take the site down to focus on his recovery. After long talks, AMRFTY decided to take over the website in order to restart and run it by himself. The site has been renamed to AMRAVN ever since.

AMRAVN as platform
While AMRFTY is currently the sole writer for our website, this platform can only exist because of the help of many. A special thanks goes out to the following heroes:

• Aiden, who designed our logo and came up with the blue styling
• Nisang_XX, who helped upgrade the techincal parts of the website
• Anonymous donators who contributed to our funds
• All the developers who allow us to review their games free of charge

And most importantly, you. The viewer. The reader. The developer. Thank you for taking an interest in these reviews and hopefully we can help you enjoy some new and great experiences.

Because sharing fun is simply even better.
