Happy new year, friends! Something truly special happened right before Christmas week. A gift I could never have expected. Let us celebrate together, because you all made this happen. It’s epic.

First off, I hope your holidays were well or at the very least, you got through them safely. A lot of crazy shit happened around the world and lots of people are affected. Health and safety are the most important elements for a good gaming environment. If you are currently in a state of discomfort, we all wish you the guidance and strength to best that situation. More on that in a later post.

25K VISITORS
So… what’s the gift? We hit a whooping 25.000 visitors in 2025 together, with 6K+ being from the last months alone! My gosh, guys! That’s an insane number to me, something I can even hardly fathom. Some of you have been very vocal in your support, which I truly appreciate. But never would I have expected people from every continent visiting our site.

Honestly, at first I thought the numbers were manipulated. But I checked the statistics and they do not lie. 1 out of 4 visitors is from the US. Top five visiting countries are US, Netherlands, Germany, UK & India. But even Brazil, Russia and Australia are listed. Most of my traffic is US based however, so hurrah to all of you!

SITE UPDATES
Last year has been rough at times, but we were able to crush our goal of one post weekly. In fact, we nearly doubled the goal with 7.5 posts average per every 30 days. The original goal still stands as the benchmark, but let's aim to keep a similar posting frequency going. A big thank you to all the developers who allow us to review their games. Many of you have expressed gratitude for the extra work put into the full review list and top picks pages in 2025 - they are now among the most viewed on the site. The last months we thought hard about how to improve what is already there, within the scope we have. Are you ready?

NEW REVIEW LIST
So our review list... it's getting long! We broke the broader ratings down into individual half-step rating categories on the review listing page, so you have even more direct insight at what games are rated. Oh, and we’re also showing tags for EVERY reviewed game. That way you can identify games you would like to play easier, not just off a game’s name.

TAGS
So we brought tags to AMRAVN. It's not perfect, but does allow you to filter for preferences like "Sandbox" or "Feeding". We had to overhaul every article for it and debated whether it would be worth the effort, but in the end we're super happy with the result. You can find new menu options that help you filter for games you like. Plus, you can always use the search function.

GAME TOOLS
A lot of Ren'Py players have asked advice on how to mod or adapt games. So we've built a Game Tools page with information on what tools are available. Right now it's Ren'Py only, but we'll see about adding tools for different engines if possible. Using anything from the Game Tools page is at your own risk. Always backup your games and files before attempting anything. You should back up your saves anyway.

PLANS FOR 2026
For this, let's focus on getting more content out there. The world seems to be cracking down on adult games, but we are firm believers that the games we review hold a rightful place in the modern entertainment world. If you have any questions or ideas for AMRAVN, just find our owner @AMRFTY on Discord and send a thoughtful message.

All the best for 2026 from all of us. Stay safe, people!
