STORY
The story picks up right after Jason’s summer camp, with his dad dropping him off at Dolores’ house. We meet his father-in-law Karl and stepsister Jessica there. Summer camp has forever changed Jason and it shows. You start off going to school, where every woman seems to be XXL as well. Jason reunites with classmate Bobby and together they start a new school season of fun
Pretty soon, Jason gets a call from his stepmother Marina and things go crazy from there. Bit by bit, situations unfold where you can take advantage to bring Jason closer to a woman. By the end of the 0.4 version, Jason is a few girlfriends and classmates richer as he really goes to town on them.
In 2025 it’s pretty unacceptable for Chaxias to still have grammar mistakes in his games, but you can definitely understand the story from the little dialog there is. The fact characters and storylines cross over from earlier games is a great addition as well, although new players might not get all the references. Not that you need to, because Jason will often comment on them while experiencing that situation.
Plussize Family Taboo doesn’t take itself too seriously and that means we shouldn’t either. It’s good, big sized fun for the family. And not just the family, it seems with the latest update.
PRESENTATION
Although it seems Chaxias’ render quality has improved a bit, the renders still look outdated and the comical looks of the women in game are debatable. It’s a look you either love or hate, but it does look like a typical Chaxias world. Dolores is by far the most beautiful woman of them all, but each woman adds to the palette of personalities. There’s quite a big team of women in the roster this time around, ranging from blonde to brunette and Caucasian to African.
Scenes are exactly what you expect from this developer, with iconic camera angles and elaborate intimate scenes with animations. Two animations per type, often three types. And three finishing moves per situation as well. Considering there are at least ten sexual scenes in this game, that’s 60 animations and 30 finishers. Whatever the game lacks in in-depth story, it brings in terms of sexual scenes and animations with audio.
The interface is reminiscent of other Chaxias games and while XXLove seemed to nail the many systems it had, Plussize Family Taboo struggles with design quite a bit. You can make out where characters are in the sandbox and see what time it is, but the interface still feels clunky and perhaps a bit outdated. It does work, but it never really looks pretty altogether. Additions like the ‘Skip’ button and the ability to change up where characters spend their day is great, adding to the quality of playing the game.
Overall, the game is what you can expect from Chaxias - not as great as XXLove, but still a good experience.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay of Plussize Family Taboo features the Chaxias sandbox, meaning you will have to look through many rooms in order to find your next objective. Good things he now has a hint box, which will help you narrow down what your next objective is. You will spend a lot of time in school and at home however, as most of the story seems to take place there. You have two moments per day - daytime and evening. Depending on what time of day you pick, women might be available or occupied.
During your playthroughs, you can always come back to have sex with women you have visited earlier. You don’t necessarily have to, because the game will tell you when there is new content to be unlocked at a woman you’ve visited earlier. All these improvements make it far easier to play Chaxias’ game, even though it might still be rough around the edges for people with high standards.
OVERALL
Plussize Family Taboo might not reach XXLove just yet, but the developer is continuing the storyline and the madness that came with Jason’s family. With fan favorites returning to this story, you can only imagine how things will get crazier each update. If you love earlier games Chaxias made, you should play this game.
