Welcome to the new version of AMRAVN! We’ll discuss the new updates, our birthday today and the fact we hit 10K pageviews, which is amazing for a blog like this. Happy birthday to us!

10K times thank you!
First off, a big thank you to everyone who helped start the original site exactly one year ago and stopped by ever since. Hitting 10.000+ visitors in a year is more than we would have ever imagined. Ever since the change to AMRAVN in December, people have been re-visiting and reading the articles more frequently. Again, thank you. Playing and writing takes long hours, but it’s worth it if people are actually helped by my reviews and updates. And it’s the site’s birthday today - that’s why I had some custom art made for us to celebrate!

Upload schedule
Some people have already noticed the new upload schedule. Despite being a one-man show now, articles were uploaded twice a week. My promise is to bring you one upload each week for a total of 52 articles each year. The aim is to do two uploads each week, which would raise the total to 104 articles in 2025, including updates. So far, we’ve had 20+ articles in the first three months alone, which means we’re on a roll!

New Design
For all that new content, we needed a good, clean design to match. Welcome to AMRAVN 2.0, with a focus on readability on all devices and features to put the content in your hand fast. Honestly, I spent over a dozen nights coding, designing and mapping the site, making sure things work even better. Readable articles, viewable screenshots and a working search function. A genre category system is still in the works for later this year, but I can only do so much. We needed one thing more than that, however…

Filter games by rating
Yes, finally - you can now access rating filters for reviews! In the menu, you can now use ‘By Rating’ to pick everything from ‘passable’ to ‘awesome’ games as categories. There’s a special page with more info here, but this is the rating list in short:
  • Games between 9 and 10 are awesome
  • Games between 8 and 8.5 are great
  • Games between 6.5 and 7.5 are good
  • Games between 5.5 and 6 are passable
  • Games under 5.5 are disappointing
This function will really come in handy once we hit the 100+ articles mark, which might be sooner than you think! For any questions regarding my rating system, you can now also visit the special rating page where I will break things down. Being transparent about my numbers hopefully helps everyone understand the process a little better.

For now, I want to thank you for coming around today. One final thank you to Kyusu & Dark for starting this journey with me and I wish you well on your next adventures. For us, AMRAVN is the next adventure and the future is super exciting. Enjoy your day!
