MorallyPurple has released the 1.9 version of Inner Growth, which shows us part one of the ending for Thalna’s story. 1.8 left us with quite the cliffhanger and 1.9 taking nearly a year had fans waiting eagerly. Was it worth the wait?
Thalna’s story in 1.8 concluded around summoning Rihanna-lookalike Naamah (after breeding the pregnant Catha again) and joining her to her home for a final talk. After an option to intercourse with Naamah, Futa Eve or neither - you meet up with Onique where Naamah tells you about a device that can stop your mother Atia. After a quick rendezvous with Selena and Catha, you get three choices - help Naamah, stop Naamah or do this on your own.
This update focuses on helping Naamah. You handle the plan to call Queen Atia to your side and when distracted, Naamah executes the plan that would stop Atia. Things eventually don’t exactly go your way as any and everything needs to help in order to stop the queen. Catha, Deva, Envy, Qnique, Naamah - one final front is launched against the queen where your choices will decide if you can best her. If the queen is bested, Thalna comes out victorious and the credits roll.
The third option - do it on your own opts for some interesting endings. The one where you side with Naamah has a specific different ending, as your friends will not be around to help you against Queen Atia. She captures Thalna and eventually sends her to return to her friends as an adversary.
While it’s only 50% of the endings, some of the things Morally Purple has shown us throughout the story return back to us in the final moments. What’s particularly sad is that after besting Queen Atia, a few lines of text show us the fates of the characters. I had hoped for a happier ending to Thalna’s long struggle with her mother. But at least Queen Atia told her how she felt about Thalna.
There’s no real content aside from the story ending in 1.9 - so if you lost it during the story, you can skip these final moments.
